Baxter Pub via Hastings, Flinders, Red Hill.

Well ! after a little bit of confusion as to where our new meeting place was (see ride information on web site), we decided to head down south for an easy ride to take in the sites of the peninsular. We set off with a reasonable turn up of 9 riders from all around Melbourne. Simmo acting as ride captain opted for the easy ride as he was bringing a pillion passenger for the day (Sandi).

After riders were able to fuel up, take in a cup of coffee and let out a bit of water, we set off for a cruise down south. The weather was perfect with traffic behaving well and bikes ticking over nicely.

Upon arrival at Flinders for a coffee break we were inundated with huge bunch of fair weather Harley riders who for some reason were attracted to Zoner like a blow fly to a turd, funny how he has this affect on people. A certain local admiring our bikes and with obvious good taste said to us on arrival and I quote "good to see some some decent bikes here as he wouldn't be seen dead on those other pieces of shit". He did say it rather quite and walking away from the Harley mob as there was about 80 of them.

After a cup of coffee we set off for the Baxter pub with great views along the way. The only issue for the day was some stupid old bastard who thought he could turn up on a BSA. He did offer to carry a cold slab for us in his side car but we decided to cut the senile old bugger loose.

Great to see a couple of laddies turn up and enjoy the day. Well done ladies and a great day had by all.

As stated at last meeting the ride captain is going to be shared around. So look out for the tap on the shoulder from Simmo soon.
