Z OWNERS MAY CLUB RIDE 22/05/2016.

After our usual confused starting point we decided to meet at the Burvale with a good turnout of members. Present for the day we had Simmo, Joe, Linda Mark P, Broz, Mark C and Melissa, Joe's mate Geoff, Zoner, Stef and a late showing from "The Prez Jeff" who was also the first to go (details to follow). The route saw us travel through Warrandyte, Kangaroo Ground, Yarra Glen, Healesville, Yellingbo, Emerald then lunch at Mt Dandenong Hotel. That meant with a few stops 2.5 hrs total.

The trip got off to a good start with "Prez Jeff" catching up with us just after we left. I for one never saw him or new he was with us until we got split up and stopped at Yarra Glen waiting for the stragglers. It was at this point we found out "The Rembrandt" had developed a major electrical issue that was unfixable roadside. Joe and Steve stopped to assist but eventually had Jeff ringing RACV for a tow home.

Waiting for the stragglers at Yarra Glen.

The "chip pinching seagull" AKA Mark Parker and Stef stopped somewhere between the breakdown crew and the front crew at Yarra Glen, they were last seen riding off (hand in hand) in the wrong direction towards Yea, possibly for a bit of time alone. Due to some fantastic detective skills or just dumb luck, they managed to catch up with the mob in Healesville at a toilet block ? Once we were all back together we set off again for our lunch venue via a few mountain roads. It appeared the break down gremlin had found its way onto Stef's bike, as his Panzer Division BMW decided to eject the centre stand from its mount. This of course left him with the embarrassing situation of stuffing bits of his bike into the pannier case infront of bewildered onlookers.

Mark Parker and Stef last seen heading in this direction ?

1 hour seems to be the limit for certain bladders after coffee. Still can't figure out how Mark and Stef were waiting at this point for us.

Off we went again with no further problems apart from the usual few slow Sunday drivers through the hills, also one tractor that took a bit of adventurous overtaking move. "Note to self" just because Steve Muller calls it all clear to pass and follow him doesn't always mean so. I did have to twist that right hand handlebar grippy thing hard to clear an on coming car. Thanks a $%#*@!$ lot Steve.

The day concluded after lunch with a short trip home for most participants on what was a sunny enjoyable day.

So see you next time, over and out Simmo.

It appears that Zoners singing style is catching on !

 Ahhhh, the serenity.

Always happy to be photographed.

Broz and Melissa.

The Seagull at work ! note Joe's face.

Where Jeff would of been sitting if he'd made it.
